LGBTIQA+ Organisational Development Grants 2024–25 – Up to $40,000 for Growth and Governance Support

The LGBTIQA+ Organisational Development Grants 2024–25 support Victorian-based LGBTIQA+ community organisations to build internal capacity and sustainability. Offering up to $20,000 for new organisations and up to $40,000 for established ones, the program funds initiatives that enhance governance, enable growth, and support long-term organisational development. With a strong focus on inclusion and intersectionality, this grant helps LGBTIQA+ organisations improve their ability to serve communities across Victoria.

What It Funds

• Strategic planning and governance development

• Capacity building and organisational training

• Business development and marketing activities

• Consultant support and research projects

• Partnership development and stakeholder engagement

• Purchasing or upgrading equipment

• Fixed-term staffing directly tied to the project

• Support for incorporation or obtaining charitable status

• Up to 50% of funds may go toward admin and project management

• Auspice fees up to 10% of grant amount

• Stream 2 requires matched funding; Stream 1 does not

Who Can Apply?

Eligible applicants must be Victorian-based incorporated not-for-profits, community organisations, peak bodies, or social enterprises with a dedicated LGBTIQA+ focus.

Applicants must:

• Hold an ABN or be auspiced by an organisation that doesHave sufficient public liability insuranceNot have overdue reports with the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH)

• Stream 1 is intended for newer, less experienced groups

• Stream 2 is for established organisations with matched funding capacity

• Note: Individuals, sole traders, trusts, schools, universities, and government departments are not eligible
